TOURISM





            In order to promote the tourist and cultural potential, the existing tourist
            attractions and to increase the quality of tourism and to promote the products
            and traditions of Banat area, the Association for the Promotion and
            Development of Tourism in Timiș, an association established in 2014 and
            coordinated by Timiș County Council, has successfully developed branding
            projects for products and services in Banat, among which we mention the
            following:


            Banat Brunch Project - aims to develop and promote rural tourism,
            traditions and culture through gastronomy, so that visitors understand the
            importance of local food and food consumption, appreciate the value of
             local resources, consider the Romanian countryside as an alternative slow
             travel holiday.





                                                                                        Project implemented in 2019
                                                                                        with a number of 300 tourists
                                                                                       In 2021 - over 1,200 participants














            Breakfast in Margina - is the first tourist brand in Timiș, a brand registered
            with the aim to encourage such projects, to give confidence to investors to
            invest in these areas, a symbol  wich allows the identification of products
            coming  from the Margina area. It offers horse-drawn wagon rides, traditional
            food,  picturesque scenery and the perfect recipe for an unforgettable
            weekend and a model of agr otourism.
                                                                                             The projects started

                                                                                         Within 3 years it has reached
                                                                                      a number of 5,000 tourists per year,
                                                                                          with 50% foreign tourists








            Discover virtual Timiș! - Using state-of-the-art technology and VR goggles,
            in the current context of the pandemic, it offers tourists the opportunity to
            escape the everyday, to travel and discover new, interesting places from the
            comfort of their own homes, while promoting the sights to both young people
            and potential foreign tourists .
