The county's notoriety has increased considerably in relation to the
evolution of tourists arriving in the county in the last decade (around

This increase recorded in Timiș County can also be attributed to the
growing notoriety of the city of Timișoara, which is designated as the
European Capital of Culture in 2023 and that over the years has
maintained a particular cultural specificity, attracting a large number

2023 will double the number of tourists compared to 2019.

variety of flora and fauna. The picturesque mountain area, the mineral
